On the Saturday the 16th of November, the annual Grace Acting Studios' Battle of the Films (BOTF) took place. With three submissions to the competition, Galaxy Studios eagerly awaited the results. These three submissions being:

• The Light Amidst the Shadows

• Remember

• The Limits of Motivation

All three films carefully constructed around the theme of 'Heroes Among Us' and featuring a scrunched up note. While in our totally unbiased opinion that all three should have one an award, we were very grateful and proud to have won 3 amazing awards.

• BEST FILM - awarded to The Light Amidst the Shadows

• BEST CONCEPT - awarded to Remember

• BEST OF CLASS - awarded to Kolbi Benson (of Remember)

"If you ask me, making a movie in the Film-Noir genre was incredibly exciting as I'd never done it before which made it a great challenge." Ash states.

"We all knew what we wanted to make, and I'm so grateful to have made such a great piece of art with the boys; and clearly everyone else is too. My favourite parts about it were the set design; making it look like a 1920s office, and the editing; making it look and feel vintage, like it was filmed on an old tape. I have to give props to Archie for his performance as the cynical detective, he did an awesome job delivering those badass lines (which I wrote)."

Then he dropped the bombshell news.

"I am going to miss the studio as I revealed on the night that this was my last year with Grace, as I am moving on to other things in my acting/filmmaking journey. Maybe one day in the future I will have the opportunity to return as I'd much like to - but for now I'm very happy going out with a bang."

And that's all he had to say. Inspirational.
